Policies and Procedures for Weekday Preschool Classes FEES-Tuition is to be paid in nine monthly installments, due on the first of each month. The registration fee is due at the time of enrollment and is non-refundable. The supply fee is due before the fall terms start in September. Attendance - Hours Preschool hours are from 8:30am-11:30am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Extended hours are available on Monday and Friday only from 11:30am-1:15pm at an additional fee. Extended Hours-Parents must register for extended hours, "Lunch Bunch". One or two days are available at an additional fee. If you select one day your child may only attend on the day you select. A two week notice is required to withdraw from this program. Food/Lunch-A morning snack will be provided for the children in preschool. The staff is not allowed to provide or feed breakfast to the children. Food provided for special occasions such as holidays, birthdays and special events must meet the Department of Health requirements by being in original sealed containers with ingredients listed. This means that no home-baked items may be served. Food for parties/special events will be provided on a voluntary basis under the guidance of the teacher or director. (Children attending extended care, "Lunch Bunch" will need to bring a sack lunch. Please pack all items including drink in an appropriate container. Food cannot be shared with other children. Lunch time will be at approximately 11:40am and the children will eat in their preschool room.) Health/Allergies-Children may not attend preschool if they have a temperature above normal, vomiting, or any sign of contagious disease. Please notify the preschool office of any contagious illness. Please notify the preschool office of any known information regarding allergies. Potty Habits-All children attending preschool must be completely self sufficient in going to the restroom. Children will be encouraged to use the restroom prior to different activities. Staff is NOT allowed to clean preschool aged children after toileting. If your child has a potty accident, we may call you to assist your child. If your child continues to have accidents it may mean that they are not completely potty trained and you may be asked to remove your child from the program until they are completely potty trained. Clothing-Children are required to bring a labeled zip-lock bag with a change of clothing to leave at preschool. Conferences-Parents may schedule a conference with the child's teacher at any time. Conferences must be scheduled through the preschool office at a time suitable to both parent and teacher. Spring conferences will be available for parents of four-year-olds entering kindergarten in the fall. Holidays-The preschool calendar coincides with the Bossier Parish School System schedule observing the same school holidays and other school closings. Withdrawal-Two weeks written notice is required if you are removing your child from the preschool program. No refunds will be given.
