Welcome to First Bossier Mom's Day Out Program

Dear Parents,

We at First Bossier are excited about your interest in our program. We hope you will find this booklet helpful as you consider our program for your child. We recommend you read this booklet completely before you decide of our Mom's Day Out program is for you and your child. The early preschool years are important to each child's future. Our curriculum will help your child develop his or her character, independence and positive self-esteem. We use blocks, books, puzzles, music, Bible stories, art and play in teaching. Policies and Procedures for Weekday Preschool Classes

FEES-Tuition is to be paid in nine monthly installments, due on the first of each month. The registration fee is due at the time of enrollment and is non-refundable.

Attendance-Hours MDO hours are from 8:30am-2pm on Monday and Friday. Children are to arrive no earlier than 8:30am, teachers are preparing the room. Please pick up your child promptly at 2pm. There will be an extra charge of $1 per minute you are late. If someone other than yourself is picking up your child, please inform your child's teachers.

Health/Allergies-No child will be accepted if he/she had a temperature above normal, vomiting, diarreah or any sign of disease. Medication will not be given to your child by a teacher. Should a fever or illness develop during MDO, you will need to pick up your child immediately.

In Case of Severe Weather-Mom's Day Out will not be held during severe weather. Please listen to the local TV and radio stations for information.

Holidays-The preschool calendar coincides with the Bossier Parish School System schedule observing the same school holidays and other school closings.

Withdrawal-Two weeks notice, with fees, must be given to the director if you plan to withdraw from the program.

What To Bring-

Plastic Bottles

•please LABEL everything.

Sack lunch with a drink for preschoolers- Certain foods are choking hazards and teachers will not feed them to your child - DO NOT send any of these foods: hot dogs, nuts, raw carrots, grapes, or any fruit with seeds that can be swallowed.

• Breakfast should be given at home, babies included.

• Disposable diapers and a change of clothing are requested for each child in case of accidents.

• A blanket/pillow will be needed for all children except babies, for resting time. We will provide a rest mat.

REST TIME-A rest time is observed after lunch. Sleep is not enforced, but a quiet time is required.
